Each application is assessed by our Loan Officers for affordability and you can be sure your personal circumstances are taken into consideration. As such, we will never encourage you to borrow more than you can afford and our loans are tailored to your needs.

Who Can Apply?

Anyone can apply for a loan as long as you meet the following criteria:

  • You are a member of the credit union.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Have an established electronic payment into your credit union savings account – this can be done in numerous ways such as standing order, payroll deduction from your employer, having your wages or benefit payments paid directly into the account.

You can apply for a loan online through the member’s area and logging into your account. The application should be fully completed to the best of your abilities ensuring you detail any circumstances that will help us to assess the application to the best of your needs.

You can also choose to apply at any of our branches or outreach centers, where a member of our team will be able to assist you in person if required.

All our branches will have application forms available to complete, or if you prefer you can download a version of the application to complete at your leisure by clicking the below link.

All our applications will need supporting documentation to help assist us in assessing affordability, please ensure any application you complete you include the following that apply to you:

  • Last 2 months’ worth of bank statements for all accounts you hold to prove your household income and expenditure (including savings accounts).
  • Proof of housing benefit and/or council tax benefit.
  • Proof of any other creditors.
  • Proof of deductions from benefits.
  • Universal Credit breakdown of award entitlement.
  • Any other relevant supporting documents.

We aim to give you a decision on your application as quickly as possible but at times, especially peak times, this may not be possible and may take up to 5 working days to get a decision back to you.
